Copyright & Takedown policy

How rights holders and publishers can ask us to remove or correct something M3U.Click publishes, what a notice must contain, and how counter-notices work.

Draft for lawyer review

This page is an interim draft that a lawyer has not reviewed yet. It describes how M3U.Click works today and may change after the review. Questions: support@tibrcode.com.

⚖️ marks a point our lawyer still has to confirm. Text in square brackets starting with PENDING is information we are still adding.

We respect the rights of creators, broadcasters and publishers, and we act on notices quickly: in hours, not days.

What this policy covers

M3U.Click is a playlist tool. It does not host, stream, re-stream, record or cache any audio or video.

  • What we publish: the text, images and guides on m3u.click and, once it launches, a small curated library of links to podcasts, radio stations and other streams that their publishers make available to the public. This policy covers all of it.
  • What we don’t publish: playlists that people build in the editor. They are stored only on each user’s own device. We cannot see, change or remove them, so a notice to us cannot take them down. If you believe someone is misusing your content, the service that hosts or streams it is usually the right place to send a notice.

How to send a notice

Email support@tibrcode.com with the subject line “Copyright notice”. We accept notices from anywhere in the world. To act quickly, we need:

  1. your physical or electronic signature, or that of the person authorised to act for the rights holder;
  2. the work you believe is infringed, or, if there are several, a representative list of them;
  3. the page, library entry or link on M3U.Click that you want removed, with enough detail for us to find it (a web address is best);
  4. your name, postal address, phone number and email address;
  5. a statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised by the rights holder, its agent or the law;
  6. a statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the rights holder or are authorised to act for them.

These are the elements that the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act requires (17 U.S.C. §512(c)(3)). Please note that under 17 U.S.C. §512(f), anyone who knowingly makes a material misrepresentation in a notice or counter-notice may be liable for damages.

What happens next

  • Within 24 hours we confirm that we received your notice.
  • As soon as we have read a complete notice, we hide the entry or content concerned. In practice this happens on the same day.
  • We then decide whether to remove it permanently, and we tell you what we did and why. A removed library entry goes on a blocklist so it never returns in a later update.
  • Where we can reach the publisher of a removed library entry, we tell them what we removed and why, and how to send a counter-notice.

Publishers who want to be removed or corrected

You don’t need a legal notice if you publish something listed by M3U.Click. Email us from an address at your official domain:

  • Removal: we remove the entry immediately and permanently. No reason is needed.
  • Corrections to a name, logo or link: we fix them within 72 hours.

Counter-notices

If we removed something you published and you believe it was a mistake or a misidentification, you can send a counter-notice to the same address. It must include:

  1. your physical or electronic signature;
  2. what was removed and where it appeared before it was removed;
  3. a statement, under penalty of perjury, that you believe in good faith that it was removed by mistake or misidentification;
  4. your name, address and phone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the US federal district court for the judicial district of your address (or, if your address is outside the United States, any judicial district in which we may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who sent the original notice or their agent.

We forward a complete counter-notice to the person who sent the original notice (this is required by 17 U.S.C. §512(g)). We may restore the content between 10 and 14 business days later unless they tell us they have filed a court action. Because our library only lists what publishers are happy for us to list, we may also choose to keep an entry removed.

Repeat infringers ⚖️

M3U.Click has no user accounts and hosts no content uploaded by users. Our library is our own editorial selection. If the same source or publisher is the subject of repeated valid notices, we remove all its entries and block it from the library permanently. ⚖️ Our lawyer is confirming how the DMCA’s repeat-infringer rule applies to a service without accounts.

Designated agent under the DMCA

[PENDING: dmca-agent]

Until our designated agent appears in the US Copyright Office’s DMCA Designated Agent Directory, send all notices to support@tibrcode.com.

Notices from the European Union and elsewhere ⚖️

We use the same process for notices from every country, and we give a statement of reasons for every decision. M3U.Click hosts no content uploaded by users, so ⚖️ our lawyer is confirming whether the EU Digital Services Act’s notice-and-action rules apply to us. Our single point of contact for authorities and users is support@tibrcode.com, in English or Arabic.

Transparency

We keep a log of every notice and what we did. We plan to send copies of notices, with personal contact details removed, to the Lumen database, which collects such notices for research, and to publish a short yearly summary of the notices we received. ⚖️
