Terms of Use

The rules for using M3U.Click, a free playlist manager and M3U editor that keeps your playlists on your own device.

Draft for lawyer review

This page is an interim draft that a lawyer has not reviewed yet. It describes how M3U.Click works today and may change after the review. Questions: support@tibrcode.com.

⚖️ marks a point our lawyer still has to confirm. Text in square brackets starting with PENDING is information we are still adding.

These terms apply to the M3U.Click website at m3u.click, the editor at m3u.click/app/ (including when you install it as an app from your browser) and the guides on this site. By using M3U.Click you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use it.

Who we are

M3U.Click is developed and operated by Tibrcode Software Development, [PENDING: legal-form], [PENDING: registered-address], Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (“Tibrcode”, “we”, “us”). You can reach us at support@tibrcode.com. More details are on our Imprint page.

What M3U.Click is

M3U.Click is a free tool for building, cleaning and organising M3U and M3U8 playlists, the plain-text lists that media players use to find audio and video.

  • Your playlists stay on your device. There is no account and no server that stores your playlists. The editor keeps them in your browser’s storage. We never receive, see or store them unless you send them to us yourself, for example in an email.
  • It is a tool, not a source of content. M3U.Click does not host, stream, re-stream, record or cache any audio or video. When you play or check an entry, your device connects directly to the server in that entry.
  • The library is not available yet. When we add a curated library, it will only link to podcasts, radio stations and other streams that their publishers make available to the public, under our Library Inclusion Policy. These terms will be updated before it launches.

Your responsibility for the sources you use

You decide which playlists, links and files you open in M3U.Click. You must have the right to use them. In particular:

  • only add, edit, share or play sources that you are allowed to use, for example your own files, your own media server, or a service you have a valid subscription to and whose terms allow the use;
  • keep any user names, passwords or access tokens that a provider gave you private. M3U.Click can hide them on screen and warn you before you share a playlist that contains them, but you remain responsible for them;
  • check the terms of the services and players you use. Some providers do not allow their links to be used in other apps.

We cannot see your playlists, so we cannot check them for you. ⚖️

What you must not do

You must not use M3U.Click to:

  • access, copy, share or make available content without the permission of the people who hold the rights to it;
  • get around any technical protection, such as passwords, tokens, encryption, digital rights management (DRM) or geographic restrictions. M3U.Click provides no tools for this, and you must not use it as part of such a scheme;
  • overload, attack or probe other people’s servers, for example by running link checks at an abusive rate or against systems you are not allowed to test;
  • break any law that applies to you, including sanctions and laws on broadcasting;
  • interfere with this website, for example by trying to break its security outside our Security policy or by sending it automated traffic at a rate that harms other visitors;
  • suggest that Tibrcode endorses, reviews or provides the content in your playlists.

M3U.Click and its guides link to other websites, apps and services that we do not control. Their own terms and privacy policies apply when you use them. A link does not mean that we endorse them. See our Disclaimer.

If you hold rights in something we publish and want it changed or removed, see our Copyright & Takedown policy.

Your data and backups

Your browser stores your playlists on your device. Browsers can delete website data, for example when you clear your browsing data, when storage runs low, or, in Safari, when you haven’t used the site for a while. Keep your own backups. M3U.Click can create backup files for you and remind you to do so.

If you protect a backup with a password, we cannot recover the password or the backup for you: we never have either. We cannot restore lost data, because it never reached us.

Our rights in M3U.Click

The M3U.Click name, logo, design, text and software belong to Tibrcode or its licensors. You may use the website and editor for your own personal or internal business purposes as long as you follow these terms. Parts of our software may be published as open source; where that happens, the open-source licence that comes with that code applies to it.

Other names, such as those of players and media servers mentioned in our guides, are trademarks of their owners.

A free service that can change

M3U.Click is free. We may add, change or remove features, show advertising on some pages (never inside the editor view that shows your own playlist entries), or stop offering the service. If we stop, we will try to give notice on the website so you can save your data.

No warranty ⚖️

We work hard to make M3U.Click reliable, but it is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we make no promise that it will always be available, free of errors, or suitable for a particular purpose, or that links in any playlist will work. Link-check results such as “reachable” or “dead” are indications, not guarantees.

Limits of our liability ⚖️

To the extent the law allows, Tibrcode is not liable for:

  • loss or corruption of data stored on your device, including playlists, settings and backups;
  • the content, availability or legality of the sources in your playlists, or of websites and services we link to;
  • indirect or consequential loss, or loss of profit, revenue or business.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or takes away rights you have as a consumer under the law of the country where you live. ⚖️

Ending your use

You can stop using M3U.Click at any time. To remove everything it stored in your browser, use Settings → Delete all local data in the editor, or clear this site’s data in your browser settings. We may block access to the website for anyone who breaks these terms.

Law and disputes ⚖️

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates as applied in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. ⚖️ Our lawyer is confirming which courts will hear disputes and how these terms apply to consumers in other countries. Before going to court, please contact us: most problems can be solved by email.

Languages

These terms are available in English and Arabic. ⚖️ Our lawyer will confirm which version prevails if the two differ.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms, for example when we add features such as the library or the apps. The date at the top of this page shows the latest version. If a change is significant, we will say so on the website before it takes effect.
